Fitness

It is sososo important to keep fit and healthy, especially during the Christmas season as we (and I am guilty of this) tend to stuff our faces with mince pies, chocolate and turkey, not realising that we need to look after our bodies!

Within the course of the following few weeks I will be uploading a page called "Fitness" where I will post my fitness routine, motivation and my diet.

Recently, my best friend J and I went on a jog and took a couple of pictures!

And here they are now!

Christmas Present Ideas

Before I start this post, I want to say how happy I am that people are doing things to fix the sadness of the world. Despite the goings on it Paris, Lebanon and more, children in need is one of my favourite shows because it really shows the strength that these kids have and I'm so proud of everyone who takes part. Also, my old school was on it this year, from Great Yarmouth singing "The Climb". When I went shopping with my friend yesterday, I donated and took a picture with the one and only Pudsey bear !!

Anyways, today I decided that, since the John Lewis advert is out, it's obviously nearing christmas (it made me cry by the way).

If you have NO IDEA what to get your friends this Christmas, keep reading!

Christmas Present Ideas:

1. How about something short and sweet? If you are like me and completely broke this Christmas, why not get them a small candycane each with a little ribbon and a nice message about them! Its small but it's also very special, and it is key for getting that happy smile

2. Make them a scrapbook! You could start with a page writing about how much they mean to you, and add in pictures of you both together, find your favourite messages on social media, write down lyrics to your favourite songs. Make it special for the both of you

3. A little ordinary, but clothes is a great thing to buy. If you go shopping with them one day try and get them to try on clothes and say, "when we next come back you can get them" and buy them for it on christmas instead!

4. Get them a voucher of some sort! Starbucks, iTunes, Topshop. If you're not sure if their favourite shop has giftcards, don't be afraid to ask, it's their job to be friendly!

5. Bath bombs ! Lush is one of my favourite shops, and having something to relax with can really help you unwind. Even if it's just a scented candle, the thought is there.

I hope this post was good and you found what you were looking for! Tell me below what you would like to hear from next!

Bill's Restaurant Review

 Food

I was quite surprised at how fast my food came. I ordered a Bill's Breakfast with beans, and overall I was pleased. The food was a pleasing size and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, I found the bacon quite fatty, but other than that I thought it was yummy :) I also ordered cranberry juice, which was really fresh and went nicely with the savoury meal.

I'd give the food 4/5

Service

The waitress came quite fast, although didn't introduce herself and never checked up to see if our meal was okay. However, they were reasonably friendly, although they did forget our knives!

I give the service a 3/5

Layout

I loved the setting. I'm one for small shops that stretched that, and this restaurant did exactly that! It was very homely, and had a welcome feeling to it. I loved the blackboards on the way in, and the seats were really sweet!

The layout gets 4.5/5 (not exactly a fraction, but oh well...)

Overall I loved this restaurant and had a lovely meal that kept me full all day!

11.5/15

Autumn

posy outfit: TopShop
Me standing outside of John Lewis

I recently took a few snaps and decided that you lot would be quite interested in them, so here they are.

I've always loved clothes, and for me Autumn and Winter clothes are my forte. I am a little bit obsessed. For some, I'm "Autumn in a person". Sounds nice, doesn't it? One of my favourite things lately has been long shirts. This entire outfit is from Topshop, from the hat to the fluffy overcoat.

And what is the build up to Christmas without a bit of John Lewis, eh? It's me: I always end up getting excited by E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. As I am writing this, I am looking out of my living room window, and the leaves on trees outside are golden, bright orange and yellow, and that makes me sooo excited! Yesterday, me and two of my friends went to town, and W and I went to look at the christmas lights outside of John Lewis. I was not dissappointed!

Also, My brother and his band, "History & Lore" have just released their new album, "Cynics, Crytics and Non-Believers". I would really appreciate if you downloaded this from Itunes, or even listening to it on Spotify:-) they also have a few songs on youtube, like "Animals" and "Monsters".

Study Tips

Hellooooo!

Long time, no see my friends, I have so much to talk about!

I recently had my first day at EDSA school of performing arts and honestly it was amazing I'm so proud of myself, and GUESS WHAT?! They moved me up a year! (woop go Jess)

Okay, so today I am going to tell you about some studying tips and tricks to help you get the grades you need!

1. Join school clubs and extra curricular lessons! Okay, so this isn't exactly a study tip, but it will definitely make you more enthusiastic and happier about going to school, and even doing extra sports, art or reading you will be happier going into a lesson, and be much more enthusiastic about learning. It will also look really good on your CV.

2. when doing revision, try to highlight the words that stand out to you in any way or would be a benefit to your learning, such as key words and phrases that are easy to remember

3. YOU CAN'T LEARN BY JUST READING; I REPEAT; YOU CANNON LEARN BY JUST READING A TEXT BOOK! unless you have a photographic memory, which is..like, 2% of the population

4. did you know, that if you chew a wild flavoured gum wild you're studying, and don't chew it again until your exam you will remember it?

5. always remember that grades don't define your intellect. as albert Einstein said, "never judge a fish for its ability to climb a tree" you're not going to be amazing at everything, and that's okay. Your priorities are to be happy, not clever!

6. Do not set limits for yourself. Say if your predicted grade is a C for Math: You can still get an A* if you work super hard and push yourself

7. Reading books gives you a huge range of vocabulary, spelling and punctuation.

Aaand that just about sums up my Study tips. Make sure you push yourself, and anyone taking exams this year a massive good luck to you!

Autumn Fashion

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The unfortunate conclusion that all us teens have to get around is the fact the SCHOOL BEGINS SOON.

What annoys me is that there are twon uniforms at my school:
Cute comfy polo shirt and skirt
Stylish shirt, tie and blazer that everybody has but me

because I literally just started at this school, my mum is refusing to buy me the new uniform. I am the only one!

However, I do know quite a bit about Autumnal fashion, which is the main focus of this post, so let's get straight on.

Please note that none of these photos are mine and I found them from tumblr (my tumblr: http://little-dramatic-brunnette.tumblr.com/ )

These are some of my favourite clothes/fashion statements for this Autumn that I'm sure to be wearing!

  • Hooded Fur Coats
  • Long brown Blazer
  • knit sweaters
  • joggers
  • Marroon, baby pink, brown, grey!!!
  • watches

try and stay away from floral or patterns, however high knee socks are in!

if i only had a brain? heart?

OH MY GOSH

let me begin this post by going waaaay back to 6 months ago when I first moved to where I live now (which is three hours away from where I used to live) and I had been talking to this guy on the internet

before you say A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G...yes I know he exists. My best friend E has a friend that has met him and she introduced him to me online over Facebook. plus he has snapchat, instagram, ect and has tagged photos, and my friend who goes to his school has met him.

we were talking for about 3 months, and I was going up to Suffolk to meet all of my friends and we had arranged to meet. He was busy but he told me that he could come then he messaged me that night saying how sorry he was. I'm pretty good at holding a grudge...

so I kind of blocked him and said that I hated him and yeah.
I pretty much forgot about him

BUT

I literally cannot stop thinking about him lately, and how perfect he is and how I was a bit harsh saying that I hate him... :/
When last night I was sleeping at my best friend M's house and she said, "have you thought about C lately?" and I was like, oh god, yes I have.

so I messaged him. Nothing flirty, nothing weird. I said something along the lines of "hello stranger, it's been a while, I needed some time, can we talk about what happened?"

and that we did. He explained himself and how much he felt like a douche and how bad he felt. And I was all like, "did you care about me at all?" and OH GOD GUYS YOU'D NEVER GUESS WHAT HE PUT NEXT

"I loved you."

asdfghgjfdeiufjnkwuhifuwkenfiuwhihrfiw3.
no.
NO.

why you do this. Setting aside that he is an incredibly beautiful excuse of a human being, I think that we're starting again. but I don't want to get heart broken this time!

do I trust him?

Style

"don't go looking for yourself when you're right here all along"

Recently I've been stressing out because, I don't know if I'm the only one who gets this, but sometimes I feel like I'm not even me. Like, I'm not even a person, I don't know its really funny.

But my best friend, M, has just found her own style and I trying to help me find mine

I LOVE COATS! Apparently my style is boho, winter.

but I realized that: You don't need clothes to express who you are. As long as you are nice to people and treat people the way you would like to be treated, there you go.

May I present- an actual human being
although buying new clothes is fab, right?

ooh, by the way here are my recent snaps for you guys😊

also I'm thinking of doing a giveaway, please comment what sort of things you want to see

Monsters

good evening reader,
now for this post i have no idea what i'm going to say, so i'm going to talk about Alice in Wonderland.

Now, as we know, Alice goes through many different stages of growing, shrinking and changing. Eating one side of the mushroom, the cake, drinking the potion. Neither of these things were particularly pleasant for poor Alice, however once she had changed, she learned to live with the change until she could find a way to find herself again.

and if that's not a metaphor then I don't know what is.

reader, if you are going through a difficult change at the moment, then I suggest you do your best to learn to live with it, until you can find yourself again. Panicking does not help find an answer, and I assure you as soon as you smile and learn to love yourself your changes won't seem as hard as they were at first.

Life may still not be perfect, but, I kept to my word: it does get better.

And even if it's not a whole lot better, you can soon learn to live with what you have been given, then it will get even better. And maybe not soon, but eventually you will have not only found yourself, but you will be happy and learn to experience life, not just tolerate it.

The best things really do come to those who wait.

Don't get me wrong, my childhood wasn't the best. it certainly wasn't the worst, but I think that if I understood what was going on around me it would have affected me a whole lot more. Luckily, I knew how to get on with life, despite the rubbish background, and people literally call me the "happiest girl alive".

This post was very deep today, but I felt like being inspiring. Have a good day tomorrow- stay safe!

lots of love, Jess Littlemiss xox

Samoens, france

I haven't posted in a while so I am back again with a new post for you all.

I have recently been in a wonderful place called Samoe
ns(sam-wons) for the past week with my Aunty H, Uncle M and my cousin, L. In case you didn't realise I am using nicknames to protect them:)

So they own this stunning chalet in this holiday park, which is two story, however we stayed in a three-storied one because there were originally going to be more people with us. I chose a bedroom facing the back garden (which was shared and had a real life waterfall) opposite my cousins. We were on a mountain, 6, 000ft high!

When we got there I unpacked immediately, sorting my new clothes into drawers, and put on a pink dress with beige flowers and we went out for a meal in a smart restaurant, which I forgot the name of.  The town is famous for a dish called Tartiflette, so we all shared a starter of lush bread and different meats and pâté's, then a main course of Tartiflette, which was delicious.

Throughout the week, we had plenty of activities. I remember the first day we crossed this thick grey mud on beautiful bluey-grey stepping stones to a large white water river and skimmed stones. We played pond golf and had a picnic by the lake. We went to a huge waterfall and showered under it (another thing ticked off my bucket list), we went horse riding in large lagoons and rivers, went to the highest point of a mountain, 12,000ft high...although that night I was sick because of it...

My favourite place was the square. It had a small carousel, a beautiful white stoned church with a bell that rang every hour, restaurants and shops all round, and a stage where one night a (very attractive) French indie band played and it was wonderful.

There was also an Irish Bar called "Koveys" which felt like home because everyone who went there was English.

In conclusion I had the time of my life, and I hope you enjoyed reading about it.

Lot's of love, Jess xox
